Scotland's Highlands and North Coast

The rain slowed down a litle and even though it was grey with misty rain it was still a nice drive through the Assynt, a region in the north west corner of Scotland. We passed a ruin on the edge of the Loch and pulled up in the carpark to explore. This was the remains of the 18th Century Laird's House of the Mackenzies of Assynt. It was called Calda House and was built around 1730.
